Celgene and the Sustainable Development Goals

Launched in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 global goals created by the United Nations through a process involving its 193 Member States along with nongovernmental organizations and the private sector. The goals contain a broad range of sustainable development issues, including poverty and hunger, improving health and education, making cities more sustainable, combating climate change, and protecting oceans and forests. At Celgene, we recognize the importance of contributions from the private sector in reaching the SDGs and are strongly committed to supporting them. Celgene’s people, expertise, collaborations and financial resources help advance the SDGs.

Celgene’s most significant contributions to the SDGs are to Goal 3: ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Below, we are including the goal’s targets that are most pertinent to Celgene and how our work is relevant to them. Throughout this report, we describe projects and initiatives we work on that contribute to this goal.
